JOB OVERVIEW

 

Describe the purpose of this job and why it exists:

As part of technical people of AP DWS, this position, under the direction of the Group Leader, exists to provide analytical testing support to address Pacific Research and business need.

 

 

The candidate is expected to:

-Assist research professionals to execute research project.

-Perform routine preventative maintenance on assigned analytical equipments.

-Carry out analytical testing according to standardized, published methods.

-Provide customers with quality data within specified timeline.

-Develop an understanding of the Six Sigma quality control and apply them to laboratory work.

 

 

The primary responsibilities of the candidate include:

-Perform following daily analytical tests with timely completion and consistent data quality:

A. Assume 30% of time in Light Lab: resin/membrane sample preparation, water quality analysis, particle size distribution test, autotitrator, Microscope, vacuum oven, centrifuge and analytical balance’s operation etc.

B.  Assume 70% of time in Heavy Lab: 8” and 4” RO element performance test, Chemical clean test, RO flatsheet performance test, chemical preparation etc.

-Identify and learn new test methods and test apparatus that can help with customer or R&D projects.
-Assist research professionals to conduct experiment, collect data, and provide technical solution to relevant research projects.

-Maintain equipment in proper working condition, and ensure EHS compliance in laboratory.

-Could travel to and stay in customer site to monitor and manage the site water treatment pilot unit per the requirement of research needs—very occasionally.

 

Job Information and working condition:

- water treatment(MF, UF, RO, IX, EDI), chemical engineering, analytical chemistry, polymer chemistry, materials science, or other related technical field;

-More than 2 years relevant working experience in Water treatment Pilot or an industrial / commercial / academic laboratory or R&D centre. Hands-on experience with water treatment engineering/maintenance, autotitrator, water quality analysis and water treatment operation is definitely a plus.

-Strong responsibility, work hard, be good at observation and diligent with great attention to detail;

-Good team player with ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally) in both Mandarin and English;

-Computer literacy (excel, powerpoint, etc.)

 

 

 

实验室技术员要求：

 

1. 大学专科以上毕业，化学专业（水处理，化工，分析化学，材料化学，有机化学，物理化学）学位；

2. 至少2年水处理(MF, RO, UF, IX, EDI)系统运行, 或分析实验室/水处理 （轻型试验室/重型试验室）相关工作经验；

- 受过相关仪器操作培训, 并且亲自操作相关设备, 试验及仪器：

A. 20% 的时间将在轻型试验室： 离子交换树脂样品准备, 水质分析（阴阳离子，包括COD，BOD），树脂粒径分析，滴定试验，试剂准备，会操作自动滴定仪，球磨机，自动显微镜，真空干燥器，离心机，分析天平等

B. 40%的时间将在重型试验室: 8英寸和4英寸反渗透膜元件的性能实验和化学清洗试验，RO膜片试验，化学试剂配置等。会操作水处理设备和泵组。 

- 熟悉相关仪器, 并能够对仪器进行简单维护和故障排除;

- 提供分析数据, 熟知数据质量控制程序;

- 遵循分析实验室规程, 实验记录完备, 能够撰写简单实验报告;

- 按照试验室流程配合TSD接受和流转样品；

- 协助TSD撰写试验报告并准备试验室管理文档。

C. 30--40%的时间在客户现场进行现场试验, 并能进行简单的设备维护和故障排除, 并根据研发要求收集现场数据,或协调进行设备修改等.

 

 

 

3. 工作认真负责，有责任心，注重实验室安全。

4. 能够用英语进行书面和口语交流.
