Valinge innovation is an IP and R&D company in the flooring and furniture industry, which is founded in 1993. We pioneered the concept of glue-less click flooring and changed the way people install and use floorings. Our worldwide- patented technology introduced a fast and easy way of installing floorboards mechanically, without using glue.

To better serve the Chinese and Asian markets, Kunshan Valinge Building Materials Technology Co., LTD. (aka. VSCC) was established in 2019, equipped with a variety of advanced mechanical equipment for the display of flooring and furniture technology.

We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer, based in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province. The Technical Support Engineer, will be working together with Business Development Managers, to provide technical support to clients, operate machines in our support center and make samples. Except its technical background in flooring industry, the candidate needs to be easy communication, well organized, open minded, willing for challenges and changes, and a hands-on person.

二、招聘需求

Technical Support Engineer, Flooring, Responsibilities:

1.Technical support at site (customer visits) and report to the KAM/Business Development Managers

2.Evaluation of client’s existing and needed machinery and layout to be able to produce with Valinge Flooring Technologies (Floor Locking, Liteback, Hygienius, Topshell)

3.Start-up training and support of licensee of Valinge Floor Locking Technologies

4.Implementation and start-up support for Valinge Flooring Technologies

5. Establish and build up strong relationship with machine and tool suppliers

6.Support and assist in problem solving for licensees

7. Together with the team at VSCC make prototype flooring using Valinge Locking Technologies and introduce potential licensees to the production process for Valinge Floor Locking Technologies

8. Coordinate development and problem solving with the technology team at Viken, Sweden

9.Supporting in quotations and proposals for clients in corporation with Senior Key Account Manager in Sweden

10. Work as an extension of the Floor Locking and New Materials Teams in Sweden driving active and pro-active actions in line with overall strategies

11. Hands on machine operation and sample testing

12.Stay updated on latest technical development within Valinge and related industries

13. Pleasant personality with ability to work as a team member together with the sales, marketing colleagues and fellow technicians in China as well as Sweden head office.

 

Technical Support Engineer Flooring Requirements:

1.At least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from relevant field such as woodworking, mechanical, industry, etc.

2.At least 3 years of relevant experience from technical and/or technical sales positions in the flooring industry – can be tooling, machinery or manufacturing of flooring

3.Keen interest in the technology and a hands-on problem solver

4. Diligent and thorough

5.Ability to manage complex projects and multi task

6. Excellent organizational skills

7.Ability to flourish with little guidance, be proactive, able to handle uncertainty, and a good negotiator/diplomat

8.Willing to take new challenges and good learning abilities to ready for new technical knowledges

9.Willing to travel domestically and overseas

10. Highly efficient in both written and spoken English

11. Good team work spirit and service minded

12.Experience working in multi-national companies is preferred

13.Hands-on experience from profiling machines is preferred

14.Experience from the Resilient flooring industry is preferred

15. Working knowledge of Korean, Vietnamese, or other Asian language is preferred
