摘要：.The purpose of this talk will be to provide a brief overview of Dr. Yadama’s research interests followed by a more detailed presentation on particular aspects of his research focus in a larger project dealing with conversion of wood to biofuels. Main focus will on the potential use of hot water extraction as a preprocessor in a wood composite manufacturing facility.
Vikram Yadama教授简介
Dr. Vikram Yadama, Associate Professor and Extension Specialist, joined the faculty of Washington
Vikram’s research involves material characterization, developing and modeling wood-based composites, and investigating alternate composite manufacturing processes to economically produce stronger and more durable wood composites. His research examines utilization of low-value and under-utilized fiber resources such as small diameter timber, wood residues, and insect-damaged wood to produce value-added composites for non-structural and structural applications.
