报告人简介：

 Maurice Douek holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from McGill University. He joined Paprican (Pulp and Paper Research Institute of Canada, currently FPInnovations) in 1975 where he held several positions, the most recent one as Program Manager, Analytical Services and Standards, until his retirement in 2009. During his professional career, he published 35 papers in the areas of deposit control, paper recycling, and analytical methods for the pulp and paper industry, and has developed several National and International Standards in various areas including organohalogens in pulp and wastewaters, ions in process liquors and effluents, and pulp extractives. Since 2002, he has been serving as Chair of the Canadian Mirror Committee to ISO/TC6 (Paper, Board and Pulps), and since 2015 as Chair of the Canadian Mirror Committee to ISO/PC287 (Chain of Custody of wood and wood-based products), and Vice Chair of the Canadian Mirror Committee to ISO/TC238 (Solid Biofuels). He is also an expert member of ISO/PC248 (Sustainability Criteria for Bioenergy). He is currently working as Consultant for FPInnovations on various aspects of a joint project with the Canadian Forest Service of NRCAN on “International Bioenergy Standard Development — Interpretation for Canadian Context”. Dr. Douek’s technical contribution was recognized by many honors, e.g. The Jean P. Carrière Award from Standard Council of Canada (SCC) in 2010, I.H. Weldon Medal for paper on "Use of Tall Oil as a Flotation Collector in Deinking Mills" from Canadian Pulp & Paper Association (CPPA) in 1998, and Best Paper Award for "Analysis of Sulphur and Chlorine in Pulp and Paper Samples by Combustion-Ion Chromatography" from CPPA Technical Section Pacific Coast - Western Branch Joint Conference in 1988.
